Sound Game plays a tone, then asks you to recreate it from memory on a frequency slider. Below are the questions we are asked most. If yours is not here, write to us: we read every message.
Not in raw hertz. Your guess is compared to the target on the ERB scale, which follows how human hearing actually resolves pitch: the same gap in hertz is easy to hear low and nearly inaudible high. Scoring on that scale keeps every round equally fair, whatever the frequency. Each round is worth up to 10 points, so a five-round game tops out at 50.
Check the silent switch on the side of your iPhone, and the volume while the app is in the foreground (iOS keeps a separate level per app). If you use headphones, make sure they are the selected output. Sound Game generates its tones on device and never records anything, so nothing here depends on your network.
Creating a challenge gives you a link to share. Your opponent gets the same five tones, so the comparison is fair. If they have the app installed, the link opens straight into the challenge; otherwise it opens a web page that points to the App Store. Challenges are asynchronous: nobody has to be online at the same time.
They are optional, and off until you allow them. Enabled, they tell you when a friend takes or beats your challenge, and nothing else. You can withdraw permission at any time in Settings › Notifications › Sound Game, and the app keeps working without them.
Solo play stores nothing off your device, so there is nothing to delete. For multiplayer, your data is tied to a random identifier rather than an account: email contact@baron-creation.com and we remove the challenge data associated with your device. Full detail in the privacy policy.
Write to contact@baron-creation.com. Your iOS version and iPhone model help, and so does anything that reproduces the problem.
